Walking in Peace, Love and Compassion

Robyn Povich

I embrace every encounter and experience as a student of life.

Growing up in various countries like Korea, Thailand, Iran, and the Philippines, and traveling extensively through Asia, Europe, and the United States, I've had the privilege of immersing myself in diverse cultures and experiences. This unique background has nurtured my deep appreciation for human growth and motivation.

My mindfulness journey began over 35 years ago when I sought support for stress and depression, and it has since become a profound part of my life. I'm a strong advocate for mindfulness and yoga, as they have played a pivotal role in enhancing my own well-being.

In my quest for personal growth and expertise in mindfulness, I completed the two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP) in partnership with The University of California, Berkeley, and The Awareness Training Institute. I also graduated from the Mindfulness Mentor Training Program (MMT) and received the Five Buddhist Precepts derived from Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. Throughout my studies, I've been influenced by renowned figures such as Thich Nhat Hanh, Pema Chodron, Tara Brach, Jack Kornfield, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Byron Katie, Eckhart Tolle, Ram Das, and the Dalai Lama.

I was attracted to coaching for its strength-based and forward-focused approach,  My path into coaching led me to become a Certified Professional Co-active Coach through the Coaches Training Institute (CTI). I also completed CTI's Co-Active Leadership year-long Program and received training from the Arbinger Institute to fulfill my Master Choice Coaches certificate. In addition, I am a Certified Facilitator of The Work of Byron Katie, which is a transformative method of self-inquiry to question and identify stressful thoughts.

My personal and professional experiences, including challenges like divorce, parenting, family alcoholism, panic and anxiety disorder, abuse, dissociative disorder, and coping with loss, have provided me with deep insights and compassion to guide others.

I believe in the innate creativity, resourcefulness, and wholeness of each individual, and it is a privilege for me to facilitate their growth and transformation. With a compassionate style, I guide self-awareness, acceptance, and healing. I'm here to help you refine your intentions, set meaningful goals, and find inner peace.

As your coach, mentor and guide, I will ask the challenging questions and empower you to discover the answers within yourself.
