Time to Reflect

I am a Certified Professional Co-active Coach and received my training from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI). In addition, I completed CTI's Co-Active Leadership year-long Program. I also received training from Arbinger Institute to fulfill my Master Choice Coaches certificate. In 2010, I completed training with the Institute for The Work and am a Certified Facilitator of The Work of Byron Katie.  

As part of my ongoing commitment to mindfulness, I received the Five Buddhist Precepts derived from Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. These trainings are guidelines to living a mindfully peaceful life. My commitment to you is to help you find your voice and speak your truth.

I was attracted to the Coaching profession because of its strength-based and forward focused approach and The Work of Byron Katie gave me the peace that I knew in my heart was possible and seemed out of reach. My personal and professional experience includes divorce, parenting, family alcoholism, panic and anxiety disorder, abuse, dissociative disorder, dealing with an “ex,” and the death of my parents.

My expertise includes coaching tools and techniques that empower clients to discover the answers within, creating clarity and thus taking action to achieve their goals as they evolve and enhance their lives.  I believe that people are naturally creative, resourceful and whole. I appreciate and am honored by the opportunity to guide people to their own innate wisdom.

​I welcome an opportunity to help you identify and refine your goals, develop effective strategies for reaching them, and to inspire you to create your life with passion and excitement.  As your coach/facilitator I will help you move beyond self-limiting thoughts and behaviors by asking the hard questions and empowering you to find those answers within yourself.

How does it work? 

We meet weekly or bi-weekly depending on your needs. 


Our first meeting is a Discovery Session.  Once you decide that coaching is for you, we will schedule a Discovery Session. During this two hour session we clarify values, beliefs and intentions. We will also design our partnership and co-create foundational understandings and guiding principles to support you in reaching your goals.  


Our next session will be Uncovering Obstacles

This is the deep part of coaching, where we look at the obstacles that have been holding you back from making the changes you desire. These can be inner obstacles, like unhelpful core beliefs or ineffective strategies. Sometimes there are obstacles outside yourself that need to be dealt with before you can move forward.

In sessions going forward we continue to uncover and work through obstacles and learn new strategies to deal with obstacles– both inner and outer. When you learn how to do things differently, you get better results.


Action and Accountability

By the time we get to the action phase, you’ll know exactly what to do. In every coaching session you will get a new strategic “assignment” to carry out, and take the action that will move you forward. The purpose of your life coach is to act as your accountability partner, keeping you motivated… until you learn how to keep yourself motivated.


As a coach, my job to support you to make the changes needed to achieve the outcomes you desire. I will work with you to identify specific goals, projects or transitions in areas of your life, including your relationships and career.


Together, we'll determine where you are today, uncover the obstacles or challenges that are standing between you and your vision and develop steps and actions to overcome those challenges. You'll learn how to better focus on the here and now and be encouraged to celebrate all of your values, skills, strengths and talents. You'll also learn how to use the process of inquiry to reconnect to your most authentic self.

Our relationship is built on a foundation of trust and confidentiality and it's that foundation, along with the commitment you make to coaching, that can promote the lasting change and growth you seek.  I will serve as a guide, teacher, mentor and partner supporting you to live your life on purpose and within your integrity.


Each coaching relationship is unique in that it is designed to fit each person’s particular needs, objectives, preferences and learning style.  I will meet you where you are on your path and help you develop the skills to live your life mindfully and on purpose.

  • Imagine taking the time to consider "what do I want?" and then actually going for it!

  • Imagine tapping into what it means for YOU to be authentically YOU and then taking the steps to live that way!

  • Imagine achieving that goal you can see but can't quite figure out how to touch.  


I will help you break down the barriers that prevent you from living a mindful life of personal integrity. My method of coaching is called "co-active coaching" which means that you and I are equal, active collaborators.

Sessions are available via phone, Zoom, Skype, FaceTime or in person if you live in the DC/VA/MD Metropolitan area.
